Meet Joel

Driven toSucceed

Joel Kaspar Jõepere is a 17-year-old Estonian karting driver who started racing in 2021 and has since competed across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Nordic region and Europe.

Today, he races in the highly competitive Rotax Max DD2 class, always looking for more speed and ways to improve.

One of the main goals for 2026 has been achieved - Joel has secured his place at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in Portimão and is now preparing to represent Estonia among the world’s best Rotax drivers.

Away from the track, Joel studies at Hugo Treffner Gymnasium, enjoys disc golf and is interested in technology and engineering.

AGS Racing Team

AGS Racing Team has been part of Estonian karting since 1995, when it was founded by former kart and formula driver Guido Allmere. Over the years, the team has helped develop some of Estonia’s strongest racing talents, including Rotax World Champions Kevin Korjus, Martin Rump and Kenneth Hildebrand.

With decades of experience, countless national titles and international victories, AGS Racing Team brings together strong technical knowledge, driver development and a real passion for motorsport.

Joel is now in his third season with AGS Racing Team and has had one of his strongest seasons so far, taking more podium finishes than any other AGS driver this year.

A very important person behind Joel’s racing is his coach Gunnar Allmere. Gunnar knows Joel and his driving style well, takes care of the kart throughout the race weekends and is the person Joel relies on most when it comes to setup, feedback and getting the best out of the kart.

One of the biggest goals of the 2026 season has been achieved - Joel secured his ticket to the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals by winning Round 4 of the RMC Nordic Challenge and earning his place on the Grand Finals grid.

The ticket is secured and now the preparation for Portimão begins. The final training races of the season are a good opportunity to maintain race form and prepare for the Grand Finals.
